See 21 August for this date August, WEDNESDAY, 26, 1863. I mailed a letter to Jane Henderson to day & commenced a [Continued?] letter to Her. I Have Catarrah in Head and some Light Headed but on duty, ,,Heavey Rain,, THURSDAY, 27. Alick [Predso?] of Co H. Died in Regt. Hosptl yesterday. Our Cook Mr Larkins Returned to day for duty I had a chill and fever to day & quite un well. ,,Very Hot day,, FRIDAY, 28. Sick with Billious fever
