Cairo Illinois September, WEDNESDAY, 16, 1863. The Boat Reached Cairo this morning at 1/2 past 3 A. M. I Had to wait untill 2 oclock P. M. for the train. I got an order for Transportation at 2 cts per mile to Freeport $8,00 THURSDAY, 17. The Cars Lay over at Centralia 7 Hours last night, & started at 3 this A. M. Reached Freport at 5 P. M. Lay over untill 10 when train went [East?] got to Mr Millne's at 11 P. M. FRIDAY, 18. took Breakfast with George Millne. Elsie & Family are down at Rockford fair. I got a Ride down to Father Durnos. Jane & Children down at County fair, Mother at Home & welcomed me, Jane & Elsie & Mary Legg & Edwin Home at night
