Violet Lea Farm Illinois September, MONDAY, 28, 1863. I had more fever last night Jane is Treating me very faithfully with Water Treatment for Cure of ague. Jane & Elsie went to Town to get Eddy Milne Photagraph I had Chill & fever today TUESDAY, 29. Had a very severe shake, fever, & sweat today Jane gave me the Rubbing wet sheet. Father & Mother went to Rockford & got 4 letters for me & Jane, 2 from Mother, one from David Henderson & G. L. Durno WEDNESDAY, 30. Jane studied J. Shews Water Treatment yesterday and gave me Cool Rubbing Baths and pourings assisted by Mother Durno and the Chill was Checked & fever stoped to day
