Bur Oak Farm November, THURSDAY, 12, 1863. I Plowed some to day on our place with One of Alicks Teams, plowed one acre. Helped Mr Mitchel to fence Hay & Corn Crib. Warm & fresh FRIDAY, 13. I put a Handle in ax, and Jane & I, Mother & Father & Elsie with the Children Went over to Barbra Kerrs to assist at at Turkey Dinner & visit. Rain to day SATURDAY, 14. Jane & me staid at Mr Kerrs. Alick Came after the others last night in the Rain, George Kerr quite unwell He is prospering at farming finaly. Runs two Teams
