Chewalla Tennessee December, FRIDAY, 18, 1863. We drew up a set of Resolutions which were adopted, and sent one copy to Capt Warners friends and for publication in the Public Record, City news & Dubuque Times. (Vertically at left & over entry:-)I drew 4 of them and Mr Baker one of them SATURDAY, 19. finished Reading the Disowned. I helped to get up fire wood to day. A M Smith was Recomended for Capt of a negro Company by Col Stibbs SUNDAY, 20. I wrote a letter to Jane, sending a Copy of the Resolution with Regard to Capt. Warners Death. My Health improve, but not very tough yet. Cold frosty nights
