Chewalla Tennessee December, THURSDAY, 24, 1863. O. Sykes furnished a Chicken for Christmas Dinner, Comstock Cooked it. I wrote a letter to Jane to day, & one to David. Borrowed 5 stamps from Wm A. Lyons FRIDAY 25. Co "C" went to gaurd the Bridge across Cypres Creek. I was ordered back to make out the Reenlistment papers for Co "C" got Chrismas pie from the Ladies, got a letter from Jane SATURDAY 26. Making out Discharges & Enlistment papers for Co "C". Had an oyster supper with O Sykes & sttlers Clerk & Joseph Baker Rainy weather
