7 Chewalla Tennessee January 7h 1864 Thursday We have had no letters from Iowa for a long time, and the mail sent from Camp is Decresing every day and today there was not a letter sent from Co "C". We Hear and Read of Heavey snow storms at the north which is perhaps the cause of nonariival of Mail from the North. Very severe frost continues for this Latitude
