9 Chewalla Tennessee January 9th 1864 Saturday a Soldier of Company G 12th Iowa died or was killed last night Some of the men got A Box from Iowa containg with other things Alcohole. a Spree was the conseq -uence which Resulted in the death of the man Rombarg. He had been a good sol -dier. But another Vict -im to intemperance. there is signs of violence on His Body.
