35 Black River Bridge Miss. Feby 4th 1864 our Brigade Reached Black River today at 10 A. M. after a Rappid march of 4 hours from Vicksburg. my feet is very sore Blood blisters all over the soles. our Division was too late to go on the expedition & are take the place of McAuthor Division which has gone in our place. we now occupy the vacated Tents of 31st Illinois Regt.
