72 Boat Minnehaha Memphis Levee March 12th 1864 Saturday We Reached Memphis this morning at 1 ocl A. M. where we found a mail for the Regt, I got a letter from M P. C. J. Henderson and one from Father & Mother. Went [up?] Town and got shaved and got a good warm dinner. We cannot get paid Here, so we proceed to Cairo today
