134 U.S. Hospital Camp McLellan Iowa May 13th 1864 Friday Great excitement over the late Battles at Spotsillvania Va and Victorys. I Recd a letter from G. L. Durno in which He tells me His Matrmonial scheme is burst betwixt Miss A[illegible] & Him. A Lady came to Hospital to see a sick Husband & was charged $2.00 for being brough two miles from Davenport to Camp in one Horse waggon
