142 Cairo Illinois May 21th 1864 Saturday We left Centrallia last night at 12 oclock, & Reached Cairo at 5 this morning, where the Detachment was sent 10 soldiers Home to be fed & wait for Transportation which we Received at 5 P.M. on the Belle Memphis for Memphis the men are still in charge of Reverend Mr Randal Chaplin
