148 Memphis Tennessee May 27th 1864 Friday I learned yesterday from Charles Russell that Jane left Home last Monday to visit me at Davenport Hospital. I left the Hospital the Friday before for the Regiment, my letters not Reaching Her in time to prevent Her Coming. I am quite feverish today. I have orders to go to the Company when the Colonel gets permition to send the new arms down to them
