186 Lagrange Tennessee July 4th 1864 Monday This day passed off very quietly Here in Camp. The Boys generaly buying some little extra of suttle for the occasion such as Can fruits. I had to Content myself with some dozes of quinine & a slight attack of ague. a National Salute was fired from a four gun Battery at noon. Social Converse was the ord of the day with us
