Pontotoc Miss July 13th /64 Wensday a flank movement was made this morning, & our forces started for Tupelo instead of Ocoloona, fighting in our Rear all the way as the enemy tried to cut off our Train Co. "C" was Gaurd for Brigade Train & our Brigade was gaurd for the suply Train. the 12th was engaged losing 1 Killed & 13 wonded. the 12th cut down a flag that was picked up by the 14th Wisconsin
