9 Selma Ala, July 7th 1865 Friday I read a general order No. 16 Regt H.Qrs. appointing me Regt. Treasurer at request of Regt Board of Supervisors. with order to receips to Sergt Mathews Head Baker for all baking funds also to Lt. Morehead for all funds in his hands belonging to Regt. Wrote a letter to Mrs. C. J. Henderson also one letter to Jas. Henderson Jun. requesting him to advance $25 for me to John McElwain. Rec'd of John W. McCall Cash as loan gave note $50,00
