13 Selma Ala, July 11th 1865 Tuesday Received of Surgeon Myron Underwood 12th Iowa V.V. Infty a Certified statement to the effect that Wm Benefield Co. C. while sick with small pox had the following articles of Clothing Destroyed by order 1 blouse lined 1 Uniform hat 1 Trousers Infty 1 shirt 2 Blankets Woolen 1 Rubber Blanket 2 socks Which will entitle Him to the above articles free of Charge this month
