17 Selma Ala July 13" 1865 Thursday Co. C. put up a very fine shade or arbor of forked poles and cross poles covering the same with green boughs, making a very Cool shade over the shebangs the Reg't is all fixing up in that way. By an Order from Col. Marshall the 12th Iowa is to relieve the 33d Mo. Infty as Provost Guards in the City, as the 33d Mo 35" Iowa & 7" Minn Regts of Infty Comprising our Brigade are ordered Home to be mustered out of service.
