38 General Wood Commander of Alabama went down to Mobile to day & He will soon take Command and Relieve A. J. Smith. Wood is the late 4th Corps Commander. The prospect now is that the 16" Corps will also be relieved by Cavilry but wether to go to Texas or Home is yet a mystery. I Bought one gallon of Claret Wine to day for mixing with roots to prevent ague which is prostrating so many of the Men lately $3,00 per gallon for the wine
