41 Selma Ala, Aug 15" 1865 Tuesday I was Detailed for Provost Guard. went on Duty day passed very quietly. Gen Hatch in Town on His way to Talladega where His Head Qurs are to be. Military Changes are Still going on, the 16" Army Corps has been Disolved by Order of War Dept, A.J.Smith is reported to be ordered to Texas, But at Present He Commands the Central District of Ala, the Divisions and Brigades are also broke up in this Corps.
