67 Selma Ala Sept 7th 1865 Thursday A few Battalions of the 15 Regulars are being sent down to Mobile from the North. and our hopes are being revived that we will be releived by Some of them Soon. The Major wrote a note to the Gen Woods asking why His Regt. are being Kept & giving Him some items with regard to dates &c. Some more rain today, No Mail now for 8 days. finished reading Bonapartes Life by Headly.
