2 Selma Ala, June 9th 1865 Friday Studied considerable in SCotts Military Dictionary it is very usefull in explaining the Definetion of terms, also Military precedents, Law, and Customs of Wartimes &c, &c. The late Proclamation of President Johnson makes the wealthy participation in the Rebellion feel uneasy, But thus far I see or hear of no manifestations to resent it by any overt act. But I have no doubt but they would if their power was Equal to their will, Oppresively Hot to day
