8 Selma Ala. June 15th 1865:- Thursday Received a letter from Mrs C.J. Henderson Dated May 30" I wrote a letter to Mrs C J. Henderson sending $5,00 enclosed in one Bill Green back. We are furnished Black berries by a negro Girl Emely. she brings them of good quality ripe & large. had a pleasant walk over the City this evening with Sergt Hitchin & Joe Baker stoped into an eating room in the Selma Hotell and ice cream very good with ice cold Lemonade the first of the season
