10 Selma June 17th 1865 Saturday Co. C. Received pay to day up to Feby 28" 1865 and Clothing settled to Jan 1st 1865. My pay for 23" days as Commissioned officer previous to Feby 28th / 65 amnt to $85.00 recd sundry amounts for previous members Co. C. to over $1200,00 and paid the same over to them as they called for it today. Recd a letter from Mrs C..J. Henderson to day Date June 8" / 65. Collecting funds for the Iowa Soldiers Orphan org'n from Co.C. $ 80,00 to day, Very warm day
