12 Selma Ala. June 20"" 1865 Tuesday Mailed a letter to Mrs Henderson to day with $5,00 enclosed. Sent by mail to Mr John McElvain $14,00 to St. Marys Hospital Montgomery Ala. being in full of what I have Collected for Him thus far. The Negro women & Girls are flocking in by Hundreds with black berries which they trade for sugar Coffee, meat &c which is very convenient for us and very much needed. intensely Hot weather
