15 Selma Ala June 23d 1865 Friday reading Bayard Taylors Views A foot, a very interesting [search?] of European Travel. The weather is most oppressivly Hot, and the days hang heavey as it is to hot to read or write with Comfort, and we hear of no change in the stagnation of affairs since the suppression of the Rebellion, and we naturaly wonder if our Executive will ever be able to throw off the physical, Mental & Moral incubus that oppresses them, and do some thing worthy of men.
