5 Selma Ala Sept 20th 1865 Wedensday Had another Inspection today Conducted by Major Vineland 11" Mo. Infty. Capt [Zediker?] Co. "J" Returned from from Leave of Absence today. The men of Co. B. have got Chaplin Humphrey to try and get an Order to go to Washington for the purpose of getting the Regt Mustered out. He is anxious to go provided the Boys pay all His expenses. Disinterested man. Read the Tapiestried Chamber, the Lairds Jock & My Aunt Margaret's Mirror some of Scott's shortest production in the way of Stories
