12 Talladega Ala Sept 27" 1865 Wedensday Our Boys are pretty well fixed up again Considering the Scarcity of Tents and Timber as there is onely the Small Shelter Tent in the Regt with the exception of a few at the Head Qurs. Had a Cool Bath this morning in the creek near Camp, I with Lieut Anderson of G. took a Stroll to the village Of Talladega this afternoon & found it much the worse of the Raids of Russeau & Willson. The 2d New York Cavelry are on Duty Here. I Recd a letter from Mrs Henderson Dated Sept 6". Recd of Sergt W. R. Mottram Regtl Bakery fund to Sept 23/65 $35.00
