14 Talladega Ala Sept 29th 1865 Friday Mailed a letter to D. B. Henderson Finished reading Anne of Geierstein one of Scotts Historical Romances. We had a very heavey rain Storm to day, and the entire Regt is very poorly prepared for Such Storms as these nothing but Small Shelter Tents & poor CommonTtents all in bad condition. Brevt. Brig Genl Chrysler has been placed in arrest for going to Mobile without orders from His Superior Officer, and Lt Col Moore of 34 New Jersey Infty is now Comd'g this Sub District of Talladega
