17 Talladega Ala Oct 2d 1865 Monday General Inspection of the Regt.. this forenoon by Brevt. Maj. Albert Rochus Inspector of the Post Commander.  the Inspector is the most akward man for a Military Officer we have come in contact with.  He is a Jew evidently from his Speech But I Judge He has not much of the Spirit of His[ansesters who under Joshua C rossed the Jordan for the Subjugation of Cannan. I Sent off my monthly Returns of Clothing Camp & Garrison for the month of Sept. also the ordanance return for the 3d Quarter ending Sept 30" 1865.  Turned over to Capt D. W. Reed all the Ordanance Stores, Camp & Garrison of Co. C. on 30" Sept 1865. I am Square. (Vertically, at left:-) The  CC and Garrison to Quarter Master Genl USA Washington D. C. (Vertically, at right:-) The Ordanance Returns to Brig Gen A. B. Dyer Cheif of Ordanance Washington D.C.
