24 Talladega Ale Oct 8th 1865 Sunday last night when Capt Reed Went down to District Hd Quarters for final Orders with regard to His Command at Cherokee County, He found that. Genl. Chrysler was again out of the Command of District & Lt Col Moore Substituted as before, so. the Matter rests at present & the 12th is still waiting orders. Our mess box was opened last night & contents Stolen Dishes and all. Suspicion rests on our late Cook Charlie Colored Boy who left without notice lately taking Some Clothes belonging to Hutchin. Found the Boy and Wm. Jordan and Jennie Henderson by various
