25 Sunday Oct 8th/65 Continued ways. got a full confession from Him & recovered nearly all the things stolen. But of all the equivocating Lying Rogues He beats them. The Boys Shaved half His Head & one eye Brow and gave Him His Dinner & liberated Him. By Special Order No. 2" Capt. Reed with Co. C. goes to Centre the County Seat of Cherokee Co. Ala., we have 2 teams & 6 of the 2d new York Cav. mounted to go along with us. By order of Lt. Col. Moore 34" New Jersey Infty Commdg District of Talladega. I wrote a letter to Mrs. C. J. Henderson.
