32 Center Ala Oct 13" 1865 by Special Currier from Hd Quarter Post of Blue Mountain Jacksonville Ala this date I Received a Detail Assistant Provost Marshal to be Stationed at Center Ala, and I am to Receive instructions, Blanks Rolls &c from Post Provost Marshall Capt. C. H. Bently Jacksonville Ala. Special orders No.3 Ex II II By Order of Lieut. Col A. L. Gurney L. E. Wilson Capt & Post Adj't other orders Came by Same [Scource?] regulating the Duties of the Troops of the Different Garrisons subject to A. L. Gurney,s Orders. A Complaint had been Made that Co. C. had Killed a Hog at Jacksonville (Vertically, at right:-) and Gurney ordered that $20.00 be Collected from the guilty parties & forwarded for Restitution to owner
