43 Center Ala Oct 22d 1865 Sunday I was Specialy invited to take Dinner with Mr Sharps Family and we had a very agreable visit as the Old Gentleman & Lady are sociable, and He has two pleasant Daughters, Capt. Reed has returned from Talladega having drawn the pay for the Company without delay. My entire Receipts for the four Months previous to July 1st./ 65 was $538 60. Deducting for 122 Rations at 50 cents per Ration 61.00 Govt Tax on pay 21 00 Total Due me $ 621.60 Total Recd 538 60 See next page (Vertically, at left:-) I Recd Two letters from Mrs Henderson Dated Sept 27 & Oct 3. Also one from Father & Mother
