49 Center Ala Oct 27" 1865 Friday The Boys are having dances Allmost every evening in the Court House amongst themselves, & they are becoming quite proficient at Dancing Jigs, Hornpipes, Waltzes &c, &c, and the Ladies young & old at the various Boarding places are very entertaining as the nearly all play on Some instrument & inveriably Sing, And there is great Harmony existing betwixt the Soldiers & Citizens. Our Landlord,s Daughers & Some other quite young Ladies sang & played for us this evening & for Children they perform beautifully.
