53 Center Ala Oct 31st 1865 Tuesday The Grand Jury is in session at this place, and a great pressure of business is on hand, as Hundreds who have had stock taken by Scouts are getting them taken up for it & making them personaly responsible for all Such Depredations and the Law will sustain the Plaintiff in Such Cases But there will be no end to the litigation. By Special invitation Myself & Capt. Reed took Dinner with Mr Mrs Brown & Family & found them very agreable People
