54 Center Ala. Nov 1st 1865 Wedensday The People are Coming in in Considerable Numbers to take the oath; of all Classes ages & even sex, We spent the evening by special invitation at Judge Standerfor,s and as all the Family are Musicians we had a very agreable evening. the Old Lady is well versed in History, Politics, &c & the young Ladies have that unsofisticated Charm of manners peculiar to Country life. late this evening I Recd one letter from Mrs Jennie Henderson, & one from D.B.Henderson, all well
