58 Center Ala Nov 5" 1865 Sunday The Weather has Cleared up, but very Cold with frost which is about the first frost we have had here yet, Went to Meeting this forenoon & heard a very sensible Sermon. I read a very humour Book Called Modern Chivalry by H Breckenridge of Philadelphia of the Don Quixote Stile of Literature when the Mind is all yes good, & allways apparent, Went to preaching this evening and heard a very sensible Sermon by a very old man
