59 Center Ala Nov 6" 1865 Monday While Capt Reed & I went to Church yesterday and just as we took a seat three young Ladies and a young man moved from our vicinity for no other reason than a Slight to the Federal Uniform. the Man is Named Jim[Reeve the girls are Dr Sparks two Daughters & one Miss Haines, who are about the onely people in the place who are troubled with the big Head at least who have shown it. Phineas Ketchum started home on Furlough to day I sent with Him to Mrs C. J. Henderson $50.00. (Vertically, at left:-) Election passed of quietly to Day
