60 Center Ala Nov. 7" 1865 Tuesday This has been quite a stirring day, Court oppened again, Election returns Came in, Grand Jury met &C, Several Cases in Freedmen Dept,, of a very interesting nature, tried in this Office by Capt Reed & disposed off. One Man Rufus Hail arrested by [Bost?] Comdr & fined $10,00 for Selling Liquers against orders. He paid His price prompt & retired. quite a number of Ladies Came in & took the Oath to day, Some of them rich But yet they Can not Sign their name.
