69 Center Ala Nov 16" 1865 Thursday Rode out with Capt Reed in Buggy to the Coosa near Hamptons Ferry. Some very fine tracts of land on this road. Called on Mr. Wharton a wealthy planter two miles from Town. Lieut. Runkle Co. A. 12" Iowa Came up in Charge of Det.. of Mounted Men to Arrest Daniels late Sheriff of this Co. He [fancies?] Daniel,s is still hiding out in the woods. visited Mr Standerfor Family this evening & had good music by the young Ladies
