71 Center Ala Nov 18" 1865 Saturday quite a Case Came up in this Office in the Freedmen Bureau when Julie a Black Woman got Judgement for the recovery of Property belonging to Her Deceased Husband & in the Hands of His old master, Mr. White, who imediately on the decision of the Case executed Bonds for the Security of the Debt to the woman Julie. very beautifull weather Continues yet, many women are still coming in to take the oath. I wrote a letter to Father & Mother and one to S. L. Durno this evening. (Vertically, at left:-) I gave 25 Cents to a poor Woman to enable Her to buy a pair of Cards to make a living in the
