12 Centre Ala Dec 7" 1865 Thursday Sent our Team to Jacksonville this morning after rations and sent with it 9 Captured muskets, 3 CVarbines, 3 McClellan Saddles, to be turned over to Ordinance Officer U.S Sent also all superplus Baggage, Condemned [Camps?] & Garrison Equipage &c. Lieut Runkle went back this morning Carying our mail, & some Communication to Capt Reed. I am reading that inimitable Book Don Quixote de la Mancha, the great Satyre on Knight Errantry placing it in a such a ridiculus light that it became unpopular by Cervantes a Spaniard.
