18 I Centre Ala Dec 12" 1865 Tuesday I turned the Prisoners over to Capt Reed this morning who took them under Guard to Jacksonville to day for the purpose of sending them to Talladega for trial. Mr. Daniels Family was very much Affected yesterday when he was Arrested. they Came to the Office making piteous lamentations, and begging for mercy, they evidently fear the consequences of the trial. I am personally impressed in Prisoners favor as I think Thomas Cooper more guilty than Daniels. I wrote a letter to C J Henderson
