20 Centre Ala Dec 14" 1865 Thursday Hard frost set in last night. Had our team haul in a good Supply of pine wood to day. Corporal Henry Steen Came back, He delivered the prisoners at Talladega all right. Nothing new about getting out of Service. A horse was sent up from Jacksonville to me, As Commander of this Post, I am entitled to one, he is a very good pacing poney, and will afford me exercise in riding out which I intend to do every day. Wrote a letter to my Jennie
