24 Centre Ala Dec 18" 1865 Monday One of the Detail sent out for the Arrest of the Daniels Posse Came in with James Hamilton a very Strong witness in the pending Case. Sent out James Henderson with a note to a Planter by name of R. S, Thornton relative to payment of one of His Freedmen, informing Him of the Consequences of his refusal. Approved Some Contracts with Planters & Freed men for 1866 Settled several Cases of Dificulty betwixt Freedmen & Planters
