34 Talladega Ala Dec 27" 1865 Wedensday Rode through to this place & disembarkd as the Regiment will not Come untill tomorrow for Selma. Chaplin Humphreys, Adjt Burch & Some others of the Regt Stay behind to Settle up their busines as they are on Detached Service, As usual when we get ready to move. many of the men got to drinking, & make Sots of themselves. Sent off the last of the Amnesty Oaths from this place to date Dec 18 at which time I Stoped [administering?]
