35 Selma Ala Dec 28" 1865 Thursday Came through to Selma to day on train. The Regt. Slept on the train tonight. I, Capt Reed,and others Stoped at the [Ghee?] House walked over the City in the evening, had Some Oysters from Lieut. King Co. D. and returned to our rooms at 9 P.M. I have joined a mess with the Officers of the Regt to day. Recd a letter from Mrs C J Henderson of Date Dec 18"
