43 Memphis Tenn Jan 5th 1866 Friday Capt Reed, myself, Sergt Hutchin & Sergt Grannis each made a Muster & Pay Roll today & Jas Henderson read for us so we finished after dinner. I took a walk with Corpl Baker through the City this afternoon & dropt into a Panorama Exibition representing [sceanry?], Battles Military & Naval, &c. The Negro Troops are being Mustered out rappidly at this place, & I am inclined to think that we will be kept untill they disperse, and [maintain?] Order amongst them.
