44 Memphis Tenn Jan 6" 1866 Saturday I Recd a letter from Mrs. Henderson of date Dec 24"/ 65 all doing well at home. I made the Acquaintance of Worret the Editor of a Memphis paper the Loyalist. Capt Reed took Lt. Kelly 11" Mo & myself to the theatre tonight where Hackett appeared in a Comedy Called the Kentuckians visit to New York in 1815. An most intolerable bore, not a good actor present, visited the park, and the squirles will Come & Climb on a person in quest of nuts,, this Court Square a pleasant resort Especialy in Summer
